We had Salie's 6 month check-up on Thursday. Ears were clear as can be....thank goodness! She weighed 17 pounds 6 ounces (75th percentile) and was 28 1/2 inches long (95th percentile). She was pleasant as can be until the shots and they made her mad! She hasn't really had any symptoms from them though other than sleepiness and the site of the shots is red, raised, and sore.
Now that Salie has reached the 6 month mark, our doctor has given us permission to start solids. She has been eating cereal and tonight we introduced zucchini. She made an initial sour face but appeared to love it!
We were also encouraged to start giving her "puffs" (small star shaped cereal that instantly dissolves in her mouth) to work on hand-eye coordination. She is very good at picking them up and dropping them in the floor for Oliver & PepperJack. The only one she ate was the one Daddy put in her mouth!
Everything we do with her is so much fun!
