A Day in the Life of the McKnights: "Up, Down, Pay-Pay-Pay (Play-Play-Play)"

This phrase comes out of Salie's mouth 24/7 and we listen! She is becoming increasingly more verbal daily and though it is not always plain, she gets her point across quite well. Salie turned 21 months on the 30th. She is quite the climber, full of personality, and Miss Independent. She feeds herself almost anything. She loves cereal and momma grins and bears the mess so she can learn to do it herself! She is working on drinking from a cup. She does great until she starts to play with it.

She has started bowing her head, folding her hands together, and saying "May-men" when we pray. She loves to change her baby's diapers, and anything else for that matter. She will say, "Uh-oh, shew!" and then pretend to get a wipe and diaper. I love to watch her play!

Her hair is getting so long but still straight and stringy. She is a good eater but loves to snack. Breakfast is definitely her favorite meal of the day. She loves an audience and entertains especially at the grocery store. She has recently learned the words, "Mine & Me" which I knew was inevitable. She is our little mimic both by what we say and what we do.

Elliott turned 7 weeks on the 30th as well. She has started smiling and it is contagious. She likes her mat and plays with her toys a bit. She has found that adorable baby in the mirror too! She has pretty good head control and enjoys tummy time in short spurts. She loves her baths and has started cooing. She still refuses to take a bottle but is growing like a weed. Her sleep patterns are very erratic too. She loves her swing and prefers to be held on her tummy. She spends a lot of time watching her big sister play, play play!

Salie at the Christmas Parade

We transitioned Salie to her toddler bed a few weeks ago and it has been amazing! She started sleeping in even later, goes down without a fuss, and wakes up happy as a little lark. She is so proud of her big girl bed!
