Salie Belle's first Christmas was by far the best! We woke up this morning to see that Santa had been very good to Salie. We then traveled to Leachville to my mom & dad's house where Santa had been very good to Salie again. Then, we went to my grandmother's house and spent the day with my dad's side of the family & opened presents, presents, & more presents. We are exhausted! We returned home to do John's annual tradition of Chinese delivery on Christmas night, enjoyed all our new toys, tucked Salie soundly in bed, & we are listening to rain, sleet, & snow with strong winds outside our door.
It is amazing how having a child changes your outlook on life. I have been so consumed with the joy that Salie has brought to our lives this holiday season. As we say goodbye to Christmas, I am so thankful for all our blessings (both spiritual & earthly) and thank God for allowing me to be Salie Belle's mother. Stay warm, safe travels, & God bless!
