We were discharged home from the hospital last Sunday, April 1st around 12:30 pm. We've had a very busy week adjusting to life as a family of 3 and have enjoyed many visitors. Here are just a few highlights from the last week. I tried to take a picture of everyone that held Salie but I know I forgot a few. Sorry!
This was our original going home outfit but it did not work with the carseat!
Salie ended up in this sleeper and enjoyed her first car ride tremendously!
Oliver was very intrigued by his new baby sister! PepperJack was really glad his Dad was home!
We played Pretty in Pink dress up with Grandma Marcia. She also fed us several delicious home cooked meals while they were here.
Aubrey and Elizabeth stopped to visit and bring Al peanut butter cupcakes.
Nana has yet to miss a day holding Salie! That's what Nana's are for!
Salie's best naps were with Grandpa Al.
Salie's Great Pop stopped by right at feeding time. Salie was a little mad!
Salie snoozing with her Great MawMaw.
Kacie stopped by to drop off the "Just Hatched" outfit we had bought Salie. Geat minds think alike!
The Gramling girls paid Salie a visit and brought Salie some adorable clothes.
Auntie Liz waited patiently for her chance with Salie and brought her a new book!
The Missouri crew all made it and got to meet Salie!
Granddad is already plotting all the spoiling that will take place.
Aunt Mo stopped by and Salie never would open her eyes for her. As soon as she left, Salie was wide awake!
Future Aunt Shelby stopped by to cuddle and brought Salie some adorable winter clothes!
Our first attempt at bathing didn't go so well. We never even got to the soap!
Daddy made it all better though!
We had just finished our first walk and the boys did an excellent job!
Our second bath went much better and we did use soap!
Easter 2012 - Salie's 1st Holiday
As you can see we've had a very exciting first week home. We made it to class, church, and evening church yesterday. Quite an accomplishment I must say! Salie drank double the amount of milk we thought we would need (good thing Momma is a stresser and packed double just in case) and dirtied 4 diapers in the 2 hour service period! It was so nice to go out as a family and to show off our sweet little blessing! Now we look forward to what this week will hold! God Bless!
