Wow! Only 6 more weeks before we meet our Salie! Time has been flying this whole pregnancy! This past week we had a shower on Valentine's Day at HealthSouth thrown by the Speech team. John sent me Valentine's/Baby Shower flowers that were gorgeous! We received lots of books to build Salie's library and essentials that will be put to good use. I think we've found a photographer to do newborn pictures and 3, 6, 9, and 12 month pictures as well! We attended our childbirth class, which was quite entertaining. The RN teaching the class gave John several wonderful ideas....drawing on my feet with a permanent marker after the epidural and cutting the umbilical cord with a buck knife! We did learn a lot about how our hospital will work with the delivery process so that settled some anxiety.
John has stopped tutoring at ASU but continues to private tutor and referee in addition to school and Riceland. We've been trying our best to mark things off the to-do list before these last few weeks are up. John is doing a wonderful job of just grinning when the hormones are at full rage. We split up our Valentine's date into 2 nights. We had dinner at a place downtown called Skinny J's this past Friday night and we've yet to make it to the movies. I vote we see The Vow and John votes This Means War. I just hope we make it to see either one.
We got our stroller, car seat, swing (Thank You Marcia), and bouncer (Thank You Tommie Jo) all within the last week. John has them all put together except the bouncer which he is currently talking to because it is not easy to put together! We have to take all the pets to the vet for their shots in the next few weeks. PepperJack has been shedding like a mad man so after his trip, we will clean the car and see if we can install the car seat!
This next week appears to be a bit less hectic for now but we'll wait and see. We go back to the doctor Tuesday for our 35 week checkup and Group B Strep Test. Then, we may get to be guinea pigs for a lady who is brining 3D/4D ultrasounds to Jonesboro. Cross your fingers! John has his first race of the year on Saturday, a 2 miler. I'm still deciding if I will be walking it or not. Mrs. Mitzi is coming back to paint Salie's initials abover her crib Saturday too. We have a shower at Morgan's house on Saturday for hometown friends and a shower at the Leachville Church of Christ Sunday! I do plan to take a half day off on Friday and get a pedicure though! God Bless and Have a Great Week!
