8 Months Old

8 Months Old...2 bottom teeth...top one is about to break through...Miss Smiley...constantly in motion...watches her Big Sister's every move...strong as an ox....flips over as soon as you lay her on the changing table...up on all fours...sits up well....scoots in a reverse fashion or with face smashed in floor but not an official crawl...grabs everything and chews on everything...loves to fly and jump...has some stranger anxiety...is taking bottles so much better....likes baby food...stays so constipated...loves bath time...wants to get ahold of Oliver...says Mama, Dada, & Nana...wearing mostly 6 month clothes...blue eyed redhead...squeals...pure joy!!!

I took pictures of Salie in this outfit with this mirror too...

Daddy got to spend the 4th of July at home with the girls while Mommy worked so this past Friday was our Girl's Day! We went to the Nature Center and had a photo shoot. Salie was an excellent helper working the cell phone camera while Mommy used the big camera and then had to get in on a little action herself. She loved the turtles and snakes at the nature center.

Ready to check out the Nature Center

Pouting because she wanted her picture taken too

The outfit that Elliott is wearing was one of Salie's and one of my favorites. We get hand me down's from Ryan Gramling, the daughter of one of my mom's coworkers and we love these bags! I was so excited to find the dress Salie is wearing in our most recent goody bag!

"Not take snakes home"

Caught red handed

Ready to take off

Not as enthused as sister about the Nature Center

We celebrated Pop's 80th birthday Friday night at Couch's and he was completely surprised! When he walked in, Salie was so excited and took off running to him!

Look how long!

Kissing the turtles

Salie's first time that we can recall to help give Elliott a bottle

This girl loves shoes like her Daddy and was so proud to find a way to get to them while Mommy was busy with Elliott!

What is on my head?

Will somebody please get these poor girls some toys?

As we watch Elliott grow so fast and experience all the "firsts", we are so amazed as Salie is growing up before our eyes. She is constantly experimenting and exploring and such a little mimic. Her vocabulary is unreal and she has such a little personality. She has learned to sing songs and say nursery rhymes which is absolutely adorable.

"Wuv you too"
"Sank you"
"Honey Bunny"
"False Alarm"
"Pease may I have fruit snacks"
"Way on you shoulder"
"Wanna wock Momma"

She watches what we do with Elliott and then we see her do the same and she has peaked quite an interest in including Elliott in things. She plays patty cake with her often. She brought us her Bible a few nights ago and said "I wanna read Jesus" and she says "Go to Bible Class to sing songs".... melts my heart! Thank you God for little children!
