Elliott had some fluid in her lungs requiring her to be on oxygen. They said this is very common with C-Sections because there are no contractions to squeeze out the fluid. We had to wait 12 extremely long hours after her birth before getting to meet her. While waiting, we passed the time by allowing Salie to open all her big sister gifts.
Mommy was beginning to think we weren't going to meet Elliott on her actual birthday when shift change came with an excellent surprise....baby Elliott Rose came to our room!
Salie was so proud to be the big sister & was full of kisses! She is going to be an excellent helper! Elliott's lungs are perfectly healthy & we were able to come home Wednesday.
Being the Mommy of two will be challenging, but I'm ready! Salie is leaving for Florida tomorrow to enjoy a grandparent vacation & allow Mommy to fully recover from her C section. She'll be back next Saturday & then the fun begins!!
We are so incredibly blessed to have two beautiful healthy daughters and so much love & support from our friends & family! God is good, all the time!
