Feels like summer, but it's time for fall

October felt like such a busy month but as I sit down to write this, I realize through all the pictures it was a super busy month!! We enjoyed a trip to Pumpkin Hollow, ended our soccer season, had a play date with Harper, attended the Valley View Fall Festival, went to Zoo Boo in Memphis, checked out the first Hay Days celebration at the Silos in Bono, partied at a local church's Halloween block party, & participated in our church's Trunk or Treat festivities! This was on top of our weekly church commitments, gymnastics, & swimming lessons and I left town twice for a CE course & co-worker's wedding.

It is very warm here this year for the beginning of fall staying in the 80s most days. Salie chose to be an Arkansas Razorback cheerleader this year & Elliott chose to be Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz for Halloween. Salie loved cheering with her Pom poms & shouting USA!! She also makes sure everyone puts their hands on their hearts for the national anthem! Elliott was so proud of her costume, constantly twirling & telling people she was "Dor-the-ley" while recruiting them to be her Tin-man, scarecrow, lion, and wicked witch. She had ruby red slippers with heels that she wears all the time & walks in them better than I could.

Both girls are still as different as night & day in every way but such joy and the very best of friends. Salie is learning to read her letters, make their corresponding sounds, and beginning to have quite an interest in reading. She has her own fashion style & likes to be very independent about it. She is so tall for her age & likes to think she is the boss. Both girls can count to 20 but skip 15 every time! Elliott is very imaginative & loves to incorporate her princess dolls in all her play. She is learning to count things out and identify letters. She would watch Disney movies all day long if we would letter but likes to use her vanity stool to climb around the house and too.  Both girls know their books of the Bible too!
