Easter, a visit from Uncle Jeff, Princess for a Day, and a new circus member are just parts of the chaos that has occurred during the month of April with the McKnight circus! So thankful to be able to capture our memories with the iPhone.
Salie became fast buddies with Uncle Jeff during his visit. Elliott decided he was pretty cool after careful consideration. We are looking forward to meeting another McKnight girl very soon when Uncle Jeff & Aunt Michelle have "Salie's baby cousin".
Today, Daddy took Salie to the Make A Wish Foundations' "Princess for a Day" event. Salie absolutely loved getting her hair & nails done and meeting all the princesses. Daddy is such an awesome Daddy! Forever grateful that God put this man in my life!
We finally decided to return to our animal limit of four. We adopted a new cat, Pluto, who is fitting in quite nice. Salie picked the name and stuck with it, unlike her baby dolls whose names change every five minutes.
Elliott has grown so much recently! She is starting to speak in phrases now, asks questions, full of opinions, peed in the potty once, eating whatever we eat, fully bottle weaned!!!!, loves the new kitty, feeds herself, has two new bottom canine teeth, wants to brush her teeth all the time, can climb onto Salie's bed, loves to play on Salie's vanity, and calls Dada on the phone. She is incredibly observant of everything the three of us do and then tries it independently.
Salie has the memory of an elephant and soaks up every little thing you say. She has become quite inquisitive ("Who made God?" "If I do this, then...but if I do that, then...."), wants to be a Princess when she grows up, has developed her own crazy language and loves to act like we are crazy for not knowing what it means, is so motherly with her baby dolls, loves her new kitty, can do her back bend at gymnastics now, and has an amazing imagination.
We spend the majority of our time watching the bond between these two girls develop and strengthen. They are so entertaining!
