Santa Claus is Coming to Town & Elliott is One Month Old

We are spending a lot of time indoors this holiday season but that isn't stopping us from dressing up! Salie has turned into quite the little ham & loves helping Mommy take pictures of Elliott!
Elliott is not a fan of changing clothes, but more than that she prefers to be held!

You can't take off your shoes at our house unless you want Salie to wear them.

After 2 days of being snowed in with Daddy, Salie had to give him a call at work.

Salie loves to teach Elliott how to play.

Last month at Little Bit of Christmas at the ASU Convocation Center,
Salie happened upon Santa Claus.
She gave him a grin but kept her distance. Last year, we shed tears.
We have been prepping her to meet Santa at our church.
When asked, "Are you going to see Santa at church?" her response was "No!".
When asked, "Can Elliott go see Santa at church?", her response was "Uh-huh"!
Then, yesterday, her mind changed and she said "Yes!" she was going to see Santa at church.

Once it was our turn, Salie was no longer a fan.

Classic

Elliott's belly was full & she could have cared less.

Never did I intend to be celebrating two "My First Christmases" two straight years in a row, but here we are and my how time is flying. Elliott Rose is already a month old. She slept 5 1/2 hours straight last night (WooHoo!!!) and is finally beginning to take a bottle unprotested. She is starting to be awake more and tracking us with her eyes. She loves to cuddle on her belly, hates to be laid down, and is a very noisy sleeper. She is growing rapidly and has outgrown most of her newborn attire. She weighed 9 pounds 1 ounce at her 3 week check up. She still has a head full of wild hair that we believe is going to be strawberry blonde and curly like John's. She can wear a bow without a headband already! She has quite the temper like her Mommy :) She constantly tries to lift her head and is quite strong. She is absolutely beautiful and we are so glad God chose us to be her parents.
